I recently returned from MG’s 10 year anniversary in Jamaica and cannot stop thinking about the trip! This was my second time traveling with the group and although this was my first time meeting Myra (founder of Melanin Globe) in person, she was immediately warm and welcoming from the time we arrived at the airport and throughout the entirety of the trip as well as local host Camilla! The itinerary included a good mix of leisure and excursion days with optional add on activities. I really enjoyed the bamboo river rafting and catamaran boat party with the option to snorkel-which was such an awesome first time experience! There was one day on the itinerary that included a long ride to Negril and I believe it would have been better spent if we left earlier in the day to allow more time at Seven Mile Beach but I believe future trips will have a modified itinerary. Overall, the trip was amazing and was made even more special when my boyfriend proposed to me! Can’t wait to return to Jamaica and will travel again with Melanin Globe!

This is my second trip with Melanin Globe and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Nicole is AMAZING - I was a late addition to this trip and she was very helpful in making sure that I had the correct details for flights as well as the dates and itineraries. She was very professional in making sure that we were always on time, but still managed to spend time with each person to make them feel comfortable, ( which meant a lot to me as a solo traveler celebrating her birthday…)
This trip truly made me feel like I was with family instead of being with 15 individuals that I just met. I truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to booking another trip.

My first trip with Melanin Globe was nothing short of amazing! I recently had the opportunity to visit Paris, France, and Rome, Italy.

One of the best parts of the trip was meeting so many incredible Melanin ladies. Many were seasoned Melanin Globe travelers who shared wonderful stories about past adventures and the lifelong friendships they had built along the way. Hearing their experiences made me even more excited to be part of the journey.

Our host, the one and only Mira, set the tone for an exceptional trip from the very beginning. She welcomed everyone at the airport with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the trip. Her open communication through our WhatsApp group chat kept everyone informed, organized, and on schedule for our group activities. We also shared daily photos from our excursions and free time, allowing us to relive each day's memories together. I loved how many people shared their plans in the WhatsApp chat and invited others to join them. It created such an inclusive atmosphere where no one had to feel alone.

In seventh grade, I manifested that one day I would visit Paris, France, and thanks to Melanin Globe, that dream became a reality. It's an experience I will always cherish.

My first trip with Melanin Globe and definitely won’t be my last! I traveled solo but left feeling like I made lasting connections with so many of the ladies. I’ve wanted to visit Paris and Rome since I was young so I took a chance and booked the European Duo: Girls Trip. Best decision I could have made to step out of my comfort zone and book this trip. Mira was a great host and made sure we were all taking care of, safe and enjoyed our time. My only suggestion is plan to visit these cities in the spring or fall time because it was HOT. Overall great experience.. looking forward to future trips!

I have travelled with MG 4 times & each time has been amazing. I’ve met some amazing people on each trip. The customer service is top notch. I currently looking to plan my 5th trip planned, and many more to come.

I'm back! This is my 3rd trip with Melanin Globe and I enjoyed every bit of it. Vietnam 🇻🇳 was a beautiful country! I had a lot of fun, from the motorbikes to the cooking class to the cave tour to the one night cruise. Also, Alexus is always a great coordinator! Book that trip sis/bro 💕🇻🇳

I recently had my second travel experience with this company and had a great time in Gatlinburg Tennessee! The host was amazing, the cabin we stayed in was beautiful with amazing views and the private chef had us eating good the entire weekend. I booked this trip due to the excursions as I wanted to try a few new things and they did not disappoint. The white water rafting & ATV riding experiences were both fun and I felt extremely safe. I have several other trips booked with the company & I’m awaiting my next adventure, would definitely recommend 👍🏾

This is my first time travelling in a group and I am glad I went with Melanin Globe. I got to spend the weekend with 5 wonderful sisters from other parts of the country in addition with Myra, our amazing trip organizer. We stayed in a quiet cabin up on the mountain with beautiful views of the town with our own personal chef, who made delicious daily breakfast and dinner. My Gatlinburg experience was full of adventures; I got to engage in activities I never did before such as ATV rides up and down the mountains, white water rafting and driving around the scenic mountain views. I recommend wine tastings and Anakeesta mountain top activities.

Just completed another phenomenal and unforgettable trip with Melanin Globe! Egypt was an awe-inspiring experience for me and My Man Stan! We were lucky to have Nicky as our tour coordinator again! Nicky did not fail to ensure everyone had the best possible experience every single day in Egypt. She has an energetic vibe and is an expert at capturing those special moment so that you have memories for a life time. She is experienced; you count on her to handle any challenges thoroughly with poise. We will go anywhere in the world with Nicky as our guide…ten stars for Nicky!

An overall great itinerary and experience…highly recommend traveling with Melanin Globe!

This was my the first time experiencing the mountains , first time in a cabin that was extremely nice my with amazing views, first time White water rafting, which is an experience we will all never forget. ATVing up the mountain and sliding back down, was definitely fun. The chef that prepared, our meals did not disappoint at all! If you’re looking for an adventurous weekend definitely book this trip the next time it comes around, you won’t be disappointed.

My experience with Melanin Globe was absolutely amazing! At first, I thought the highlight would be visiting two countries in one trip, but once I took in everything as a whole, I realized that was just one part of an unforgettable journey. The events planned by Melanin Globe were well organized and packed with educational and cultural experiences. I had the opportunity to take part in adventurous, cultural, and meaningful activities!
Our Melanin Globe host, Dee, was phenomenal: personable, attentive, and always made sure everyone’s needs and questions were met. She also helped with language barriers for those who didn’t speak Spanish, which personally made me feel informed and safe while engaging with the locals.
Beyond the amazing itinerary, I met a group of incredible ladies who made the trip even more memorable! My experience in El Salvador and Guatemala was a 10/10, and I would absolutely do it again. If you're thinking about booking, do it! It’s worth every moment you will encounter.🛩️🌍🇸🇻🇬🇹📍💃🏽

El Salvador and Guatemala were absolutely amazing. I enjoyed the group of ladies I traveled with, the accommodations and the host. The host was absolutely amazing, she had such a vibrant personality, keep us informed, ensured we had everything and she spoke Spanish. I’ve been on several Melanin Globe trips but this one is definitely in my top three. If you are debating traveling with this group don’t debate it any longer, just book it.

Cartagena was my second trip with MG and it was just as wonderful as the first. First let me say, I loved the host Dee! We missed the flight to Cartagena and I probably would’ve cried if she wasn’t there, but she kept her cool which made me hold it together. MG itinerary, communication and opportunity for leisure time is what I love most about traveling with them. I’m very organized and timely and MG meets my expectations in those areas. The villa was beautiful and the area we stayed in was in the center of everything. My only small gripe (which others may not care about at all) was having the same lunch options while out on tours but I understand it is popular within the culture. Thank you Melanin Globe for another wonderful experience!

I recently traveled to Cartagena, Colombia, with Melanin Globe, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the vibrant culture to the thrilling adventures and incredible food, every moment of the trip was unforgettable.

A huge shoutout to our host, Dee, whose guidance and patience truly made this experience exceptional. Dee’s friendly vibes and impressive knowledge of Spanish added so much value to the trip, helping us connect more deeply with the local culture. I can’t recommend this journey enough—it’s a must for anyone seeking adventure, connection, and a taste of Cartagena’s magic!

Cartagena was the vibe! If you didn't book you missed it. From start to finish everything was amazing. I enjoyed the crew that I traveled with. We have created memories and friendships that will last for life. Our Admin Dee was amazing. She was very tentative and addressed any questions I had. I have already booked another trip!

Dee was an incredible trip coordinator!!! I don’t know what we would’ve done without her! She made sure we were well taken care of, comfortable, and patiently helped translate for us more times than I can count. My only suggestion would be to add a leisure day to the itinerary.

After a couple of past hiccups with travel agencies, I was honestly a little hesitant about using one again—especially for a trip across the world. But Melanin Global completely exceeded my expectations and did not disappoint in any way. The itinerary was full but not overwhelming, hotel and amenities awesome and took care of us from beginning to end, thanks Mira and team.

The true feather in their cap was our tour guide, Manuel, and our personal driver, Francis. They were the ultimate “need-to-know” people in Ghana. Their knowledge, connections, and intuition opened doors we never would’ve found on our own. They didn’t just show us Ghana—they helped us feel it. The people, the culture, the history, the rhythm of life—this was truly the experience of a lifetime.
Without them, we never would’ve experienced Ghana the way we did. I learned so much about how life was intended to be for our community, and I brought a piece of that wisdom home with me.
I cannot overstate how safe I felt the entire time. Even when we were given space to explore independently as a group, we always knew they were nearby and present. As a group of women travelers, I have never felt so genuinely taken care of, protected, and respected.

And let’s not forget—Manuel somehow doubled as our personal videographer and photographer. The quality was absolutely amazing and something I’ll treasure forever.
Before leaving the States, I experienced the most painful personal tragedies of my life and almost canceled the trip altogether. I am so grateful I didn’t. This journey gave me something I didn’t even know I needed. I came back home feeling deeply proud of where I come from—it truly felt like going home.

I will always be thankful for this experience and for the people who guided me through such an incredible, healing, and unforgettable journey. I made new family!

A couple of suggestions, for planning purposes, make sure tourist know how bumpy and long the ride is to Cape Coast. I would've loved to have some seat cushions, pillows and blankets on that day. It was still amazing and felt very authentic but just to make sure people are prepared..LOL

In September 2024 I went to Bali with Melanin Globe what a phenomenal experience. Our guide was Gede and he was such a wonderful guide with a heart for people. He made sure we enjoyed each and every excursion, we were safe from the time we arrived until the the time we departed, even when we had leisure time he would check on us. I became sick one day and he was very concerned with my health making sure I can go on and it wasn’t too much for me to handle. We did site seeing, market shopping, cultural learning, atvs, and cooking class all while enjoying the beautiful island. If you want an amazing, exciting, and educational experience to Bali book with Melanin Globe you won’t be disappointed.

I recently had my first experience with Melanin Globe on a service trip to Accra, Ghana. What an amazing experience overall. There was not a single question or concern left unanswered leading up to the trip. Our travel coordinator Nicky was amazing! She definitely kept everyone engaged and included. Melanin Globe provided the perfect local guide as well. I look forward to traveling with Melanin Globe again!

What an AMAZING and IMMERSIVE experience! I found solace in knowing that all my lodging, food, transportation, and other innovative pop-ups would be taken care of with ease. I choose to do a “mother and son” trip with Melanin Globe, and this trip exceeded my expectations. My son kept us all balanced while immersing in the Ethiopian culture. This was my first time booking with a travel group as I am solo traveler. . Atsinaf was knowledgeable, friendly, and inspiring and provided everyone with the “real” cultural immersive experience. She gave so much of herself to this trip and I have so much respect for her!

A few recommendations:
1. Ensure everyone has the same itinerary. And inform everyone that the itinerary is subject to change at any time. (While this did not bother me at all, it may have affected others)
2. Continue to reiterate that with every immersive experience, internet access may not be available, even if the client has an international plan. Reiterating this from the full life cycle of the trip might help others who love internet access.
3. Explain the meaning of “cultural immersive” prior to booking. This will ensure everyone have the same meaning and understanding of the trip.
4. For those attending the trip a second go round, make sure to explain that every trip is different. This can minimize conflict with peers.

Overall, I soaked up life in Ethiopia. I felt connected, fulfilled, touched and blessed by this experience. Would definitely do all over again! Pictures barely tell the story or experience.

Overall I had great time touring Ethiopia 🇪🇹 with Simien EcoTours and Melanin Globe. It was an amazing experience visiting the tribes and villages. The tour was interactive and informative. I liked that the tour was inclusive and I didn’t have to worry about food, lodging, and transportation. Moreover, our group was small and I had an opportunity to get to know everybody individually, even though I was on the trip with my best friend. I also liked that there was a person on the trip for a second time. She was able to explain things and give a heads up about some of the tribes and things to expect.

Nonetheless, there was some logistical issues with our trip. For example, our host had a totally different itinerary, compared to the itinerary we received from Melanin Globe. I assumed the host was changing our day-to-day activities and the hotel, but on the last day we discovered she had a totally different itinerary from us. Also, during tours I found it difficult to understand the guides because our host kept interrupting them and giving us her own information. I understand our host is knowledgeable in the subject area, but I wanted to hear from everyone and it would be more productive to let the person finish talking before giving your input. Lastly, nobody should be forced to switch vehicles daily. Due to body size some guess felt more comfortable in a specific vehicle, and expressed this to the host, but their concerns were ignored.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to visit Ethiopia 🇪🇹 again.

Love Love this company. Our tour guide for Greece was Nicole(Nicky) She was very knowledgeable. She made sure that we felt cared for. Needless to say, I will be booking another tour with this company and I plan to go back to Greece. Great Job Melanin Globe. My expectations and experience was 10000supercede. .
